Full course description
This course is designed as a series of self-paced learning modules primarily for novice online course tutors. It may be undertaken before you commence moderating your wholly online graduate subject and completed at any time during the teaching period for your subject. The course contains a wealth of information and resources, which you may wish to dip into throughout the teaching period for your wholly online course.
The course identifies the responsibilities and practical skills required by online tutors, examines strategies for effectively teaching a subject online, and considers some of the common challenges of teaching online. It will:
- Introduce you to the University's online teaching and learning model and examine teaching and learning in an online environment
- Discuss the responsibilities and practical skills required by online tutors and identify strategies for effectively teaching a subject online, and
- Consider some of the common challenges of teaching online.
