Full subject description

This hybrid subject is designed with inclusive pedagogy, cultural responsiveness, and student agency at its core. Through asynchronous modules, live workshops, peer collaboration and guided reflection, students engage deeply with deaf culture, communication and technology in an environment that supports both academic growth and personal insight.

Discipline and faculty

  • Education, Faculty of Education

Framework for Educational Excellence dimension: Guidance and support inside and outside the classoom

This subject demonstrates this dimension through:

  • Clear and supportive orientation materials, module checklists, and academic skills guidance that establish expectations and help students navigate content and assessment.
  • Reflection sequences built in Stackle provide a consistent space for students to capture progress, respond to guided prompts, and consolidate learning over time.
  • Peer collaboration supported through tools like Padlet and FeedbackFruits, creating space for feedback, dialogue, and connection across diverse learning cohorts.

This is a copy of a live subject delivered in 2025. While there are no enrolled students or live activity, you can explore the subject as a student would - navigating modules and gaining insight into how learners engaged with core learning and assessment tasks.
